When I started my career almost 40 years ago, I never imagined sales would become my path.
Back then, the word sales conjured up the image of someone going door to door with a suitcase, trying to convince people to buy things they didn’t need.
Luckily, I quickly learned how wrong I was—thanks to the incredible hands-on training I received at Procter & Gamble, my first corporate home.

There, I discovered that sales isn’t just about persuasion.
👉 It’s strategy.
👉 It’s communication.
👉 It’s negotiation psychology.
👉 It’s active listening.
👉 It’s empathy.
👉 It’s the ability to translate a product’s features into meaningful benefits.
👉 It’s the art of handling objections and navigating conflict.
👉 It’s human.

You don’t have to be a “salesperson” to sell.

We all sell ideas, perspectives, solutions, every day, often without realizing it.
So when I left the corporate world to start my journey as a consultant and entrepreneur, all those lessons became my foundation.
